Induction

The Induction Program is intended to support teachers in their first three years of teaching to become successful educators. In the state of Colorado, educators with an initial license must complete an approved induction program in order to apply for a professional license. NW BOCES is the approved induction program provider for teachers and principals in East Grand, Hayden, North Park, South Routt and West Grand School Districts as well as the NW BOCES special service providers and administrators. Each induction program includes professional learning, application, and mentoring and lasts for one school year.

If you are in need of an induction program, email the NW BOCES Professional Learning Director at darcy.harris@nwboces.org or click on this Calendly link to schedule an appointment.

Principal Learning Community

This is a cornerstone of the principal induction program, but it is open to all principals in the region. This popular event takes place six times during the year and focuses on dispositions of leadership. Principals come together to practice the dispositions while discussing current problems of practice.
